The goal for my 1976 Stingray is to change the interior from the dismal gray (that’s not the actually factory name) to black.

In this video I walk you through the process of cleaning and spray dying two parts of #ProjectSR76.   Enjoy!!!

#ProjectSR76 Interior Dye – Part 1

With the upholstery on the seats complete and the carpet in place I’m going to start dying the gray interior parts that do not be replaced.
For this video I’ve pulled the metal bracket that holds the manual light pull and the bottom cover for the steering column as well as the side section of the console cover.

Lots more coming up!

#ProjectSR76 – Carbs are Important – for breathing!

My 1976 Corvette Stingray gets a new 1406.

Working with a new camera that died during recording left me with an older recording device that was a challenge to position and some of the work is just out of frame.

A DAY WITH #PROJECTSR76 PART 3 – Speedometer

If you follow #ProjectSR76 you might recall that the speedometer was not functioning.

Additionally, I could not find a good video on replacing or even one that traced it through the car.

I tried to create one in this episode.

Let me know what you think.

#ProjectSR76 Seats Before and After – Black Conversion.

Videos coming up. But here is the before and after for my 76 Stingray’s seat. From this awful gray to a respectable black. I’m converting all the interior to black.

Before And After

Gray Carpet gone – Black temporarily in place

Will have to pull out the seat and carpet and put in heat shield, then trim the carpet.  But it is going to look great.

#ProjectSR76 An Alarming Discovery

Maybe the most fun you can have when restoring a old car is the tear down process.  Discovering the hidden gems like signatures of the installer, factory repair tags and other unique things.

#ProjectSR76 is fun to work on for those reasons.

Check out the discovery and don’t forget subscribe updates here and on YouTube.
