Wait List for 2014 Corvette Z51 Reaches a Year – CorvetteOnline.com.
Mine: Customers who place an order for a Corvette with the Z51 performance package will have to wait a year or more. It could take so long that these cars might technically be 2015 models.
I’ve always taken time to race my cars in a charity for cancer or run a few miles in my Nike’s for the same cause. Nope not bragging, I look at it as most likely helping to save my own life at some point or some one I care about – cancer runs in the family.
This is my son’s and my 2nd year running in the Pink Pumpkin Run 5k put on by Skin and Body Fitness where my wife and I work out. Kristine Bennett and her husband Greg, run the place and they work tirelessly to make this a FUN Run to help raise awareness and money for a family stricken by breast Cancer.

This run was a milestone for us…it was the first time my son acrossed the finish line before me!!!! I’m getting old!!!
These races wouldn’t work with out all the runners/walkers that show up (over 160 this year). But with out sponsors these races would be too expensive to put on. Special thanks to Skin and Body Fitness and a thanks to my employer – Bookmans Entertainment Exchange and Bookmans Sports Exchange for their donation.

Real Car Guys Love Car Art!!!! This one might be bit ‘steep’ in prices, but I do like.
Andy Warhol’s Mercedes-Benz W196 silkscreen could fetch up to $16 million at | Hemmings Daily.

The Hennessey folk do some amazing ‘stuff’.

I can go on for more ‘Parts’ than there were Rambo or Rock movies, but I’ll stop with what I think was the star of the car show. It was only on display, so it wouldn’t be taking any trophies home.
It wasn’t this Ferrari
Or this guy in the matching Ferrari hat. (Hey Ryan)
Nor was it this original Shelby Aluminum bodied racer
It was this car!!!
Know what it is?
It’s a 1958 Scarab MK I
It is a work of art, for sure.
Powered by a Chevy Small Block (283).
Beautiful Car.
Thanks for reading. Go find a car show to attend.

The thing about attending regional car shows in your region is there’ a very good chance that you are going to run some of the same cars, even in a show as big as this one. Oh..don’t get me wrong I love looking at them but writing about the same cars is not very rewarding. So I’m going to show you some of the cars I really enjoyed.
Of course I’m always drawn to the Vettes.
Maybe something in Satin?
Or maybe something with a bit of a sting-er
Or how about an Anniversary Grand Sport!!!
And this one made me miss my old C4.
Lots more to come from the Tucson Classic car show – including – dashes and one particularly rare and extremely AWESOME car!! (Oh..and it’s not a Corvette!!!)
Thanks for reading.

Well another great show for the Tucson Rotary Club!!!! As always I loved every car (almost) but if I had to pick a couple favs…it would be these (it’s more then a couple).
The Ramblers – I loved these two!!
Rounded Lines of this Rambler really sets it off.
Not exactly stock…but I love the lines
Little something extra under the hood!!
A little custom work here and there. Tastefully done.
Love the wheel and the stance is great!!!
Yes, Hemmings Muscle Car mag fans, you’ve seen this Rambler grace the pages of that very cool periodical.
Just as cool where the ‘bakers (Studebakers)
Black and Chrome!!!!! Great looking Hawk.
Grill for days!!!
From the finned Hawk to the stout two door Lark…I like ’em both.!!!
More favorites coming up.
Tim
I kid you not…this is one of the most enjoyable car shows. You get to park your classic, muscle, racer, import or special purpose vehicle on the grass (yeah…lots of it) – no nasty dirt or melting tar parking areas. Grab that blanket out your trunk and spread out under a tree and enjoy!!!!
Oh….did I mention that for $5.00 you get into the show and you get a change to win this!!!!!
Go to Tucson Classics Car Show and get a ticket!!!!
I’ll be here.
