The Bloodhound SSC team isn’t content to just create the world’s fastest car—they’ve designed it to be the first car capable of hitting 1,000 mph. And even if they fail, it should shatter the land speed record 763.035 mph set in 1997 when tested out some time next year. The SSC has a powerful internal combustion engine that’d be at home in most race cars and it’s sole purpose is to pump fuel into the Rolls-Royce jet needed for attaining quadruple-digit speeds. Staying both in control and safe will be no easy task, as is illustrated by the just-completed cockpit you can see in great detail here.
I just can’t let this one go. PEOPLE!!!!! This is NOT A CAR…..it is a ROCKET SHIP – just pointed in the WRONG direction. Great is shatters a record set buy a older rocket that was directionally challenged!!! But it’s NOT a CAR!!!! What I am impressed with is the driver Andy Green!!!! That’s got to rock to pilot that spaceship!!!
With its swept-wing design and narrowed front end, there’s no mistaking the DeltaWing for anything else on the track.
Now the company has unveiled a newly rendered DeltaWing concept, that it hopes will take the radical design and turn it into a high efficiency, road-going passenger car for four. The DeltaWing concept has lost some of the ‘fighter jet meets 80s era Batmobile’ appeal of… One key attribute of the DeltaWing shape is considerably less overall mass, which translat… Unlike the pictured electric ZEOD RC, the 4-passenger DeltaWing will run a small 110 hp fo…The proposed passenger version won’t have the original DeltaWing track racer’s performance capabilities, but it will retain most of the car’s uncommon DNA.
I don’t even think the delta wing should be a street car at all and the passenger concept is just, horrible. Looks like the Prowler only without a full front end. Ant-eater with wheels!!! Make a great kids Hot Wheels collectable.
Thanks for reading.

A while back I ‘had’ installed a Spec Stage 3 clutch with steel/iron fly-wheel. I did a lot of research before hand and decided that this would be a great combination for my auto cross/daily driver. So far I’ve been happy with the switch. It’s not as ‘street’ smooth as the stock but it helps get the torque to rubber!! But you have to do your research. If you noticed in the first line above I used the phrase ‘had installed’. It is a monster job to disassemble the tunnel and you don’t want to have to do it again after find out that you can’t leave a red like without loosing rubber, nor pay the $$$ for someone else to do it.
I grabbed the article below to share, it has some great tips.
Selecting the Right Clutch for Your C5/C6 Corvette
If you’re a late-model Corvette owner and you’ve ever been in the market for a new clutch, then you’ve discovered that there is such an array of options to choose from, you could find yourself being a little bit lost and confused. To make things even more difficult, thanks to the transaxle layout of the C5 and C6, swapping a clutch is a far more involved process than on a car with a more conventional driveline. A clutch swap isn’t the kind of job you want to do twice on these Corvettes, so getting it right the first time (and having the room to grow for more horsepower and torque down the line) is critical. White Noise – White noise is a common synthetic noise source used for sound masking; it is effective in improving the mood and performance of workers by masking background noise.
So crank up the volume on your media player and help your co-worker improve their mood. This is my kind of white noise!!!
This is a very well done car, in my opinion. Modified just enough to make it a powerful machine and still look like a 1966 Chevelle. I say ‘WOW” you will too when you read the article. (see the link above)
The Power Plant And Putting It To The Ground
The motor itself is an LS 418 cubic inch stroker with a Lunati crank and H-Beam rods connected to forged pistons. The top end is comprised of ported LS3 heads with an LS9 supercharger. All the machining and assembly of the motor was performed by Scoggin Dickey out of Texas. Mated to the motor is a T-56 six speed transmission that’s outfitted with an ACT dual disc clutch to help lay the power down to the pavement. All this equaled out on the dyno to an impressive 600 hp and 650 lb.-ft. of torque at the wheels.
Monster Chevelle
Got a monster chevy in the garage? Project or not…let me hear about it!!
I guess Chrysler….or…um Fiat…can’t seem to generate enough interest in the new Viper selling only 91 cars so far this year. Nor did they sell that great last year only 591 went to new homes.
2013
2014
Chrysler laid of about 90 employees recently at SRT and now the Viper assembly plant is closed until June.
A source in the supplier industry tells Autoline Daily that the Viper assembly plant will be shut down for 15 weeks. Chrysler says it will be shut for 11 weeks starting the week of April 14. The plant was originally going to shut for …
Some recently post a picture of this fascinating car on my Google Plus account and I had to look it up.
cB7 Prototype – Look a little like a C7? That’s what I thought.
So what is cB7?
The FELINO cB7 is a tubular frame vehicle wrapped with composite and carbon fibre elements; it weighs approximately 1 000 kg, according to the selected drive train.
Therefore, the cB7 can be mounted with a 4, 6 or 8-cylinder engine, optional for the buyer.
The early prototype, equipped with a 4-cylinder turbo engine, was tested and received high marks in 2012 and 2013. In 2013, a 6,2 litres V-8 was installed under the bonnet of a second-generation prototype and will be tested thoroughly in the Spring of 2014.
The specifications featured in the press documents are those of the V8 version. These specifications may change. Final model specs will be available in the Summer of 2014.
The entry-level model of the FELINO cB7 will be available at a price under $100,000. Final sales prices will be announced later. The FELINO corporation is already considering the possibility of an electric vehicle in a few years.
PRODUCTION STATUS OF THE FELINO cB7
After three years of research and development, the first FELINO cB7 prototype became a reality in 2012 and was tested on race tracks and notably on Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in 2012 and 2013.
In 2013, FELINO built a second-generation prototype, featuring a chassis evolution, along with a mechanical and design upgrade. It will be tested in the Spring of 2014.
In 2014, the company will reach the final phase of development and the level of pre-production. Two more units will be assembled and tested before Production 1 starts. A limited production series is forecasted for 2015.
One does not often mention Canada and supercars in the same breath, but Felino, a new high-performance carmaker based in Montreal, hopes to change that with its first production model, the Felino cB7. Founded by the former Canadian racecar driver …
It seems the only constant at international auto shows these days is a new Veyron special edition. Bugatti has been unloading these Veyron cosmetic packages one by one, in an effort to keep attracting buyers to the decade-old model. The latest such special edition brings a little more intrigue than the average, recalling what Bugatti calls “one of the first ever street legal super sports cars.”
Although 1000 hp is cool, I prefer the older model.
You will see and enjoy the voices of few very powerful American muscle cars – Mustang Shelby GT500 , Mustang Shelby GT500 Super Snake, Shelby GT & Mustang Shelby KR.
