Well we’ve landed here temporarily with the vapor lock – not series of posts. Clearly we aren’t having a vapor lock issue and had I set up a camera much earlier I would have seen the issue pretty quickly.
With fuel spewing out of the carb, which isn’t ideal, we can narrow it down to a carb issue, not a fuel line getting to hot and not a fuel pump issue (but I’m glad I upgraded from the old one).
Here is the video of the float adjustment:
So my options at this point is to have carb rebuild or down size to 600CFM Edelbrock.
What would you do? Drop a not and let me know.
Thanks for checking in #ProjectSportsRoof.
Tim
This will fix your other carb:

Did I see fuel dripping put of the right float? If so that is a problem
yes…float was cracked.
Hey, Tim. I’d downsize to the 600. The 800 is too big I think. Put the 800 on a shelf just in case or sell it to finance the 600.
Hey Steve!! Yes…and here goes run against then normal wisdom. I think it has more power with the 800. But I won’t know for use unless I rebuild it and put it back on. Bill #ProjectBeepBeep owner, stopped by and we adjusted the new 600 and adjusted the time. There was a significant power difference….now I can say for sure, because of several other issues but we’ll see after I get the brakes squared way.
I’d use ye ol’tried and true 1406.
