I was watching a Top Gear episode from a year, or so ago placing a Shelby vs Roush Mustang. The Roush Mustang had less HP, but added Independent Rear Suspension, and many other small upgrades to improve handling.
The track results showed the Shelby oversteering and slipping and sliding all over the place. You could not keep that Shelby on the track.
The lower HP Roush always stayed on the pavement. Of course, that decreased lap times and made the Roush the winner. The $5, 000 savings over the Shelby make the Roush Mustang the better deal.
I wonder how the Roush Mustang would compare in this test?
The article mentions that they have exhausted all of the Mustang and Camaro comparison combinations, but I’d like to see a Roush go head to head with the Camaro.
