Ok match this one up the 2013 Dart in the previous post.
What would rather pruchase?
Engine: 3.8-liter V-6 now goes Direct Injection, which helps bump the horsepower to 348 and torque to 295 lb-ft (using premium fuel).
BUT TIM!!!..COME ON NOW. The Dart only has 4 cylinders!!! True!!!
So for the Genesis – 2.0-liter inline-four is now paired with a twin-scroll turbocharger and improved intercooler, with that yielding 274 hp and 275 lb-ft, again with premium fuel.
It even looks similar to the Dart –
Enough said?
Thanks for reading.

I think when you consider that the ho hum Caliber was the replacement for the Neon, this Dart at least puts Chrysler back in the small car market with something competitive.
I drove a few Caliber rentals, and was horrified that those Daimler folks made Chrysler build such a bad car. The MPG was terrible for a 4 cyliner compact (about 18 city), it wasn’t nearly as roomy as the Neon, nor handled as well. At Interstate speeds I thought it was going to fall apart.
I’m going to give the Dart a thumbs up for now; I’m sure sometime soon I will be in a Dart rental and will let you know what I think.
Of course, I can also remember how impressed I was with that Aries I rented back in 1988…HA HA HA.
Ha Ha. Aries…..
If the Dart comes close to the focus and that new Chevy compact it will be a winner for Chrysler. Both the ford and chevy have great interiors.
See how memorable the Chevy is to me, I can’t think of the model name…..
That’s true and if I had more then 0.5 kids I wouldn’t buy it either. My poorly made point is, why can’t you more for the legacy name “Dart” then just putting a 4 cylinder in it. Yes for sure the older Darts (50ish, early 60ish) only had 6 cylinders, but this a new day with more ways to get power from a 4 or 6 and still keep the miles per gallon down.
Yup, but the price difference means they cannot be compared. $16K vs $24K.
